Regional Field Trainer

Overview

The Regional Field Trainer (RFT) reports to the Director of Field Training (DFT) and is a key member of Peet s training team. The RFT is responsible for owning all hands-on training execution for cafes within an assigned region, developing and executing training strategies to drive business outcomes and contributing to a culture of retail excellence by modeling Peet s service standards and values.

Responsibilities
  • Partners with the Regional Leaders/District Managers and caf leaders to implement training initiatives and ongoing training development of teams in the assigned region
  • Leads Train-the-Trainer, CTM and other sessions for new programs or systems
  • Trains and supports back office system integrations, POS trainings, and equipment/ facilities updates
  • Supports new cafe openings and partners with appropriate business partners to ensure successful openings
  • Creates an environment of retail excellence through a blend of Peet s 5 service steps, Peet s values and hands on training
  • Evaluates capabilities of teams through the use of Peet s tools, assessments and observations while providing the appropriate level of feedback
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on Peet s coffee, process, standards and training programs
  • Drives coffee passion within region and supports Peet s Barista Competition on regional and national levels.
  • Builds solid relationships with caf teams that translate into customer connections
  • Ensures teams and individuals have completed all required training courses for their role
  • Partners with leadership in assigned region to plan training schedule, ensuring minimal business disruption
  • Ensures execution and adherence of all operations policies and procedures during caf visits and trainings
  • Responsible for training attainment, certifications and service metrics as baseline measurements
Qualifications
  • Peet s caf and training experience is mandatory
  • Passion and knowledge of coffee is mandatory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task, follow up and manage competing priorities independently
  • Time management skills; ability to balance priorities and manage projects independently
  • Ability to travel to all Peet s locations in assigned region
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during weekdays and weekends as dictated by business needs
  • Proficient in MS Office: Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
