Associate Brand Manager Consultant
The Sage Group is seeking an Associate Brand Manager Consultant to join our client's Brand Marketing Team in Emeryville, CA. The ideal candidate will have an immediate connection to our client's Five Aspirations, (Create, Inspire, Connect, Own It, and Be Yourself). This candidate will be extremely flexible and enjoy a high-change environment where priorities shift from day to day. The Associate Brand Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling business and marketing efforts for the assigned brand, in keeping with overall marketing strategies and annual business plans, and under the direction of the Brand Manager. This contract is for 12 weeks to cover a medical leave.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with the Brand Manager and other members of the Brand Management team.
Manage budget for the assigned brand(s) and manage projects to completion within budgetary limitations and on strategy.
Analyze consumer / consumption data to monitor health of business and identify trends pertaining to category, brand and competition.
Work with the creative department and outside agencies to create concepts and designs for packaging, trade shows, advertising and collateral materials, and with the promotions coordinator to identify opportunities for promotional items, in line with brand story, for approval by the Brand Manager.
Track development at key project milestones to ensure that requirements are met in terms of design, packaging integrity and deadlines.
Work with the creative department and outside agencies to execute key marketing programs. Track development at key project milestones to ensure that requirements are met by assigned deadlines. Track results of programs.
Manage marketing budgets for assigned brand(s).
Skills Required
2 - 3 years' brand management experience planning and managing brand marketing projects, preferably in a food products environment.
Background should include familiarity with data analytics, product development, packaging development, and market research processes.
Experience with Nielsen is a huge plus
