Senior Manager of Beverage and Food Operations

OVERALL FUNCTION:
The Senior Manager of Beverage and Food Operations is responsible for the strategic development, deployment and maintenance of our development of Beverage and Food Store Operating Procedures, Communication, Implementation of all programs that support Beverage and Food Operations. They continuously innovate for improvement with tools that drive improved leverage and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Beverage and Food Store Operations initiatives/projects through implementation in the store environment and reporting to effectively select and prioritize projects.
Provides the leadership, direction and support necessary to enable budget results and operating plan goals in the areas of beverage, food and general operations in retail.
Strong partner in development of beverage and food communications and training for all Peet's retail locations and field teams in partnership with Communications and Learning and Development teams.
Oversee and provide leadership guidance on creation and management of updates to bar and beverage SOPs, Front of House bar standards/layout and development of Bar and Beverage Operations and promotional training tools for Seasonal Marketing Programs
Oversee Peet's Barista Competition (PBC) inclusive of communication, process and events in partnership with Learning and Development and Field Leadership
Lead a team of two direct reports in successful execution of Beverage and Food Operations projects.
Defines project success criteria, leads and manages team to deliver required results in accordance with expectations. Recommends business solutions for optimizing profitability and productivity.
Conducts analysis and formulates business plans to implement policies, process or systems that improve operating effectiveness/efficiency.
Oversees pilot strategies, implementation and evaluation to make informed decisions on rollouts.
Collaborates with both field and HO teams to determine operational opportunities and creates process improvements to support the streamline of workflow for the field. Ensures policies, procedures and initiatives are well executed and also meet the needs of the stores.
Acts as a strong advocate for stores within the Peet's organization and creates strong partnerships with field leadership and HO teams. Responsible for follow up on field issues. Closely partner with BPs to develop creative solutions that will minimize store issues.
o Maintains working knowledge of benchmarking best operations practices in the beverage, food and overall retail marketplace.
Create, own, manage and oversee team projects including project plans to track projects from design to implementation to maintenance.
Conduct presentations of individual projects or initiatives as required to BPs and leadership.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Five years' in retail or specialty store management; including multi-unit management
Demonstrated, outstanding skills in successfully building teams and partnerships to influence and drive results. Successful in negotiating and/or influencing BPs across all levels in order to gain cooperation and successfully implement projects.
Proven leadership abilities, including ability to think strategically, develop operational strategies and determine long-term impact of decisions on the business.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Strong customer focus. Anticipate customer needs and take action to meet them: continually search for ways to increase customer satisfaction and improve processes.
Ability to work effectively, independently with minimal direction from supervisor and make business decisions as appropriate.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
