Assistant Sales Representative

Our culture values people with a common sense of integrity in their work. We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Sales Representative in Emeryville, CA (San Francisco Bay Area). This individual will be responsible for building sales with existing and new customers, while maintaining and tracking purchase orders, and coordinating shipment with dispatch and freight companies
In this key role you will:
Work directly with the owner to fulfill the company's goals and overall vision
Take purchase orders from customer and place them with vendors
Track POs from point of origin through arrival to customer
Work in a fast pace/exciting work environment with the ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Develop strong relationships with new accounts, as selected jointly by you and management.
Manage pricing with guidance from management
Participate and attend selected trade shows, industry events and to uphold company integrity
Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 22 lbs
Occasional local travel (must have a car, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance), including weekends
Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Bilingual (Preferred)
Knowledge in the Produce Industry (Preferred)

Be reliable and punctual
Demonstrates initiative and workplace fluidity
Fast learner / self starter
Sensitivity to various cultural backgrounds
Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
Dedication in supporting the direction and vision of the owner
Qualifications:
2 Years' experience in related industry, or Bachelor's Degree in a related Field
Customer service experience
Proficiency in computer, writing skills and texting
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Quick books
Organizational skills and detail oriented
Open availability
Excellent phone skills
Clear background check
Excellent references
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
