Pixar is looking for Technical Directors to be responsible for technical aspects of producing three-dimensional computer animated films with a specialty of lighting design and implementation. Establish direct and reflected lighting and shadows for each assigned shot to realize the look and style. Finesse the lighting on a shot and composite together the resulting character and environment renders into a final shot. Assemble incoming data (models, looks, animation, efx) from upstream departments for lighting adjustments. Create light rigs and adjust the lighting in those files. Render the necessary levels and use appropriate compositing software to create a composite tree that combines the rendered levels and adjust the final composite until it meets the vision of the Director, Art Directors and Sequence Leads.
