The Inventory Planning Manager plays a strategic role, working closely with Finance to align targets with Sales, Marketing, and In-Stock Planning to ensure optimal inventory levels and meet customer demand.
This role leverages industry best practices and supplier capabilities to enhance service rates.
This includes setting inventory policies and targets, and mitigating risks to reduce total costs.
What You Will Do:
Develop and implement inventory planning strategies and plans to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demand and minimize product cuts throughout the network Define inventory planning policies, procedures, targets, and safety stocks levels for all channels and locations including the Alameda roasting plant, Mixing Centers, DSD Central Warehouses, Overflow locations, etc.
Define reorder points and safety stock levels for raw materials, and Retail/Away From Home (AFH) supplies Maintain Logility inventory policy parameters to optimize service and inventory levels Conduct training sessions to educate team members and peers on the functionality and best practices of the Logility planning system.
Provide ongoing support to team members and assist in troubleshooting system-related problems.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve the Logility planning system and its utilization within the Supply Planning team.
Propose and implement enhancements to optimize performance, streamline processes, and increase efficiency.
Develop and generate BI dashboards,reports, and data visualizations to provide insights into supply chain performance, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics.
Analyze data trends and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of Logility configurations, business processes, and procedures.
Keep track of system changes and update documentation accordingly.
Monitor adherence to inventory policies by region or location Contribute to space capacity planning Participate in S&OP and S&OE discussions Contribute to redeployment decisions Work with the analytics team to model supply scenarios for future inventory needs and provide feedback to ensure inventory optimization Drive continuous improvements, solve for SLOB inventory Who You Are:
Experience in developing and implementing inventory / replenishment teams in food or retail organizations Demonstrate highly developed skills to communicate and collaborate within a multichannel food or retail organization Demonstrate expertise as a supply chain generalist with the working knowledge and ability to understand and troubleshoot end-to-end supply chain processes including supply chain planning, procurement, logistics and distribution Strong proficiency in Logility or other supply chain planning software platforms.
Proficient in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization using tools such as SQL, Excel, or Power BI.
Ability to develop, plan, organize and manage multiple priorities Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, cost of goods, treasury, and risk management Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Bachelor's degree with demonstrated financial analytical acumen or equivalent work experience 5-8 years of experience preferably in inventory management 1-2 years of supervisory experience, preferred Peet's Home Office is a Hybrid worksite, which requires any Home Office employees to work onsite (Emeryville, CA) 3 days a week with the exception of any fully-remote role.

The target annual base salary range for this position is $120,000-145,000.
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
