Reporting to the Sr.
Director, Coffee Purchasing, the Cupping Room Coordinator is responsible for operating and maintaining Peet's green coffee cupping lab.
This position manages the green coffee sample inventory, expertly roasts green coffee samples, prepares cupping tables in support of the buying team, performs their own cup-testing evaluations, and organizes the recording of results.
The specialist may be required to compose appropriate responses to vendors, including approval or rejection of samples as needed.
What You Will Do:
Organizes all green samples received or orders as necessary from warehouse/weigh master; scrupulously logs, inspects, moisture tests, labels and trays them.
Expertly prepares coffees in the sample roaster, displays, doses, grinds and pours glasses for sensory evaluation.
Tastes with buying team.
Records cupping analysis in Cropster and professionally communicates disposition of each to supplier of sample as a backup to Green Coffee Coordinator Supports and supplies coffee communication to business channels, demonstration and training for internal and external customers Participates in panel tastings for coffee, tea, and other food or beverage as needed Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly cupping Other duties as assigned by manager Who You Are:
Possesses or acquires ability to discriminate in taste with the gained ability to approve samples within two years.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience working with an ERP system preferred Proficiency with data entry Familiarity with Peet's coffee offerings Strong organizational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Peet's Home Office is a Hybrid worksite, which requires any Home Office employees to work onsite 3 days a week.

The target annual base salary range for this position is $24-$31/hourly.
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
